Walker M. Duke is a seasoned attorney who has represented businesses and individuals in critical legal matters.  He has also provided the legal counseling to help his clients avoid problems before they arise.  Over the years, Walker has successfully litigated many high stakes cases involving business disputes and catastrophic personal injuries with millions of dollars on the line.  Despite the complexities of the cases, Walker never loses sight of the core issues and works to efficiently and cost effectively develop a strategy that best serves his clients' overall objectives.  Walker is a firm believer that thorough preparation and hard work are the keys to success both in and out of the courtroom.

Representative Experience

Obtained multiple judgments for construction company in contract disputes over payment on commercial construction and residental construction projects.

Successfully defended, in a case tried to jury verdict, a convenience store chain accused of selling contaminated fuels.  The jury unanimously found no fault on the part of the defendant.

Obtained summary judgment in contract dispute in which client was defrauded of purchase price of commercial printing equipment.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of international elevator manufacturer accused of strict products liability, breach of warranty, and negligence/gross negligence.

Obtained substantial six-figure judgment for client who was catastrophically injured in workplace accident.

Obtained favorable settlement for paper manufacturer in business defamation suit in federal court after having opposing expert’s damage model rejected by the court.

Obtained temporary injunction enjoining a major bank from foreclosing on client's house during pendency of suit over ownership of the mortgage debt.

Represented publishing company in breach of contract, tortious interference with contract, and breach of fiduciary duty litigation.

Obtained favorable settlement for construction company in arbitration of construction defect claim.

Represented contractor in delay damage claim related to commercial high rise building.

Represented subcontractor in claims for retainage on commercial development.

Represented elevator manufacturers and maintenance providers against design, manufacturing, and marketing defect claims.

Represented technology company in indemnity dispute arising over allegedly defective protective device.

Obtained emergency interlocutory stay of trial court discovery order from Texas Supreme Court in issue of first impression.

On behalf of historic district, successfully obtained denial of alcohol sales permit renewals against convenience store that was next door to elementary school in Dallas's oldest residential neighborhood.
